A Typical day in Africa

A ‘Typical’  Day in Africa

Greetings on Day 2 of our adventure.  We have seen and experienced so much in the last 24 hrs it is hard to believe.

Here’s a synopsis of Day 1-2

5am Wake up call
5:30 Meet in large tent for coffee
6:00  Head out for morning drive
8:00  Coffee/cocoa stop (various pasties included) 
10:00 Return to camp, greeted with hot towels and with hot cocoa
11:00 Brunch (Eggs Benedict with salmon...or another fantastic choice)
12:00 Hike
1:00   Hang out, nap, massage, email, sort pictures etc
3:00  High Tea (which means early happy hour...who are we kidding!). Assorted spectacular hors d’oeuvres, cakes, pastries
4:00   Afternoon drive
5:30   Cocktail stop with wine, beer, mixed cocktails and cold and hot hors d’oeuvres
7:30   Return to camp - greeted with hot towels and sherry
8:00   Star gazing - saw rings on Saturn  really! 
8:30   Dinner by the campfire(s), candlelight 
10:30 Late night outside bubble bath under the African sky.

Seen:  Giraffes, 3 large male lions, 1 lioness, many, many types of antelopes, wart hogs (our favorites!) hyenas, our first elephant!, lots of wildebeests, jackal, baboons, monkeys, lots of beautiful birds, flowers, butterflies, ostriches, zebras.  

And I haven’t even mentioned the unbelievable accommodations! 
Oh my!!!  And what did you do today???  😊😊😊
