After passing the hippos in the river, we “spotted” a spotted hyena in a field. Much to the consternation of our jeepmates, we left our tracker in the middle of a field along with 2 other trackers from companion jeeps. They did not disappoint. They radioed in by walkie-talkie to our drivers who commenced bush whacking to the site. There was a mama leopard with a female singleton kitten. She had lost the littermate earlier and was still calling for the other kitten.
The little girl was so playful and energetic. It was a rare treat indeed. Lucky and blessed as I've said before.
