Celebrating friendship & Anita's birthday
The word Safari originates from the Arabic word "Safar", meaning "a journey". It entered the English language late 19th century and was taken from Swahili meaning "long journey". The verb for travel in Swahili is "kusafiri" and the noun for the journey is "safari". In English we use the word safari when making an overland journey, or photographic expedition in the African bush.
Today we are headed to the Nkomazi Game Reserve, Badplaas, Mpumalanga, South Africa
The 15,000 hectare Nkomazi Game Reserve welcomes guests to stay in 1 of 10 tents that complement the rugged bushveld at this Mpumalanga accommodation.
