Victoria Falls

Victoria Falls is a waterfall on the Zambezi river on the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia.David Livingstone, the Scottish missionary and explorer, is believed to have been the first European to view Victoria Falls.Livingstone named his discovery in honor of Queen Victoria, but the indigenous Lozi language name, Most-oa-Tunya "The Smoke That Thunders"- continues in common usage as well.

Livingstone I presume
While it is neither the highest nor the widest waterfall in the world, Victoria Falls is classified as the largest, based on its combined width of 1,708 meters (5,604 feet) and height of 108 meters )354 feet), resulting in the world's largest sheet of falling water. Victoria Falls is roughly twice the height of North America's Niagara Falls and well over twice the width of Horseshoe Falls.

It was so misty in some places that it felt like it was raining

Chobe River gifts

So far I have not showcased the Cape buffalo which is majestic in it's own right. Large, powerful and impressive, they don't take lip from anyone. They are a commanding presence and their horns are pretty much their written history. Scarred, marred and telling a story of their own.

One of the most amazing gifts that none of us foresaw was another herd of elephants crossing the river in front of us, as if to say- we know you're leaving.

Such happiness and pure joy in entering the water
